As a young child, my family and I lived in Selkirk, very close to
Bernat Klein’s studio. Driving past his modernist studio building, it seemed magical to four-year-old me, even more so when my mum told me it was an ‘artist’s house’. I had secret ambitions to be an artist of some kind, and it was only years later when I learnt of Klein’s work that I realised what this childhood memory was about.

The artistry of Bernat Klein, especially his use of colour and texture in woven textile design, is the inspiration behind this design. Use the scarf / wrap as a chance to play with different yarns and see how the textures and colours interact with each other as you knit them: be an artist!
