This pattern is available for free when buying yarn at Uppspuni Mini Mill in Iceland: on fb: uppspuni / icelandyarn - minimill.
Das Strickmuster ist auch auf Deutsch - es ist gratis wenn man Wolle fuer einen Studlaberg bei www.uppspuni.is kauft.

The yoke pattern is inspired by the basalt rock formations, which are created when lava flow meets ocean, in Icelandic: stuðlaberg.
The sweater has a straight fit. You have an option of making side slits: this will look good on a relaxed sweater with ample ease, skip slits for tighter version.
Body and sleeves are worked in the round from lower edge to the underarms, and then joined to work the yoke in the round. Round begins at left side of body. Stranded knitting in yoke. This is a fairly easy pattern to knit, suitable for first time stranded knitters!

Size: XS, S, M (L, XL) – measurements are of the sweater (allow for some ease)!
