This slouchy hat is a variation of the Rose City Hat in “Annetarsia Knits: a New link to Intarsia”. “:Stumptown” is another nickname for Portland, Oregon, my hometown. I was inspired to try new yarn and new stitch patterns for this comfy, casual hat. This project is a great use for my intarsia in-the-round technique. Every stripe can be a different color, as they are all separate yarn supplies, so this (like all intarsia projects) can be a great stash buster for small amount of yarn.

The pattern includes brief instruction on this technique. More patterns and complete instruction on all Annetarsia tips and tricks are found in my book, available in PDF in my Rav store, and in hardback from my website, www.annetarsia.com.

Video instruction of basic technique, and other Annetarsia tips and tricks, can be found on my Annetarsia YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzKw04DBxI0
