This study numbered die is perfect for young children over 3 years old who won’t put everything in their mouth that comes in their hands. The foam inside is sturdy, but be aware that it is not wood which means it can be broken. If you do not prefer using foam, of course you could also use an old t-shirt or polyfill.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Lion Brand DIY Yarn in orange and black (1 skein each)
  • 5.0mm hook
  • scissors
  • tapestry needle
  • Green Eco Foam Block (67mm x 87mm x 87mm) which I found at JoAnn’s
  • Kitchen knife to cut the block

GAUGE:

4 sc x 4 rows = 1 square inch

STITCH USED (US TERMS):

sc = single crochet
surface crochet

FINAL SIZE:

3 x 3 x 3 inches
