Sturdy stripes socks
After knitting my Sturdy stripes shawl, I was left with those lovely little leftovers from each of the 24 mini skeins in my yarn advent calendar. Deciding what to do with them wasn’t difficult at all—I simply had to design a matching pair of Sturdy stripes socks! Just like the shawl, this sock pattern is wonderfully versatile. It’s perfect for using up your leftover sock yarn to create a fun pair of scrappy socks, but it also looks fantastic when worked in two or more colors. Whether you choose solid shades, variegated yarn, or hand-dyed leftovers, you’ll end up with a beautiful pair of bold striped socks. The stripe sequence is slightly different from the one used in the shawl, giving the socks their own playful character while still making them a perfect match. For DPNs, Magic Loop and short circulars
This cuff down sock pattern with heel flap and gusset is easy to knit, also for beginning sock knitters. It is suitable for knitting with DPNs, magic loop and short circulars. The instructions for these different type of needles are clearly indicated in the text.

Sizes
The pattern contains instructions for 4 width sizes:
S and M (60sts)
L (64 sts)
XL (68 sts)

combined with the following length sizes:
EU sizes 36-45
US sizes 4.5-13 (f)
UK sizes 3-10.5

The pattern includes a chart to help you easily determine your personal sock size.

Material
You can use 70-85 grams (in total) of any 4 ply sock yarn you like, with a gauge of 30x42, by 10x10 cm. When you choose a sock yarn with a gauge of 28 x 40 the socks will be a little wider.
