This generously sized heart shaped shawl starts with a small garter tab that is followed by a twisted garter body and a “sudden down pour” of lace. The second in a series of shawls exploring different types of rain, she joins her sister I am the Storm on Ravelry and Payhip.

The (optional) beaded bind off lends weight and an additional sparkle (of raindrops) to the bottom edge.

Size:
28 inch drop, 58 inches from center neck to wing tip. ( 71cm by 147 cm)

Materials:
Jade Sapphire Silk Cashmere 2 ply; 55% Silk, 45% Cashmere, 400 yards (366 meters)/55 grams (1.94 ounces) 3 skeins.

US Size 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles at least 40 inches (100 cm) long.

Size 16 Crochet Hook for applying beads, large eyed tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

1,335 size 8/0 seed beads

738 size 8/0 seed beads if not working the beaded bind off.

Gauge: 17.5 sts and 25 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in lace pattern, blocked.

Notions: Stitch marker(s), large eyed tapestry needle.

Beads are applied with a small crochet hook after the stitches they sit on have been knit.
