The Sugar Pine Top is another design in my “Pine” series, influenced by my Pine Needle Sweater
It has a crew neck this time, instead of a mock turtleneck, like the sweater.

The short sleeves have a slight puff, but there’s a workaround if you don’t want the puff.
The style of the top can be changed up as well. You can wear the top loose, like a regular t-shirt, you can add the pull cord and make it tapered as you wish, you can also move the pull cord up and create an A-line. And if the width of the top is the same as your hips, you can easily turn this pattern into a dress!
There’s also an option for bottom ribbing as well if you want the bottom to match the sleeves and neck!
So wear it as you like!!

The sizing is a recommendation, but it doesn’t need to be followed closely.
If you prefer a wider neck, make a size bigger. Just follow the instructions with the yoke fit to get a top that suits you perfectly!

To make this top, I strongly recommend using Hobbii Frutta, as some cottons might be too stiff for the design, and acrylic yarn might give you a different size and fit. Hobbii Frutta comes in so many beautiful colourways, so take advantage of any future Frutta sales!
The way the yarn is striped works so nicely with the Granny Spike stitch in this top!

Thank you for looking!!
