Sugar Plum Cowl – Free Knitting Pattern

The Sugar Plum Cowl is a simple, cozy accessory worked in the round with ribbed edges and a smooth stockinette body. It’s a relaxing project for knitters who enjoy letting a beautiful yarn take centre stage.

Using approximately 200 yards (183 m) of worsted-weight yarn, this one-skein cowl requires only knit and purl stitches. It’s a great choice for a confident beginner or an easy evening knitting project.

Originally published in 2015, the Sugar Plum Cowl has recently been revisited with fresh photographs, new yarn examples, and an updated step-by-step tutorial.

The original sample was knitted in Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage in the colour Sugar Plum. The refreshed version features SweetGeorgia Merino Worsted in Portobello. The trio of three Sugar Plums Cowls were knitted in Lichen and Lace Eco Worsted in Rosewood, Linen, and Shrub.
