Subversive Socks is Out of Print.

Using illusion-style knitting, only those closest to us will have the opportunity to follow the command spelled out on our socks: CHECK OUT MY RACK. These knee-highs kick ass for a roller derby player, but get close enough to the wearer (or otherwise find the right angle) and the socks’ cheeky messages appear.

Pattern Notes
The illusion charts are unique for the left and right socks, and for
both the front and the back of the sock – 4 charts in all. The directions start with the left sock charts, but the right sock is
worked in the same way, using the right sock charts. Illusion charts
essentially work each row twice – once with the main color and
once with the contrast color.
