CONSTRUCTION
The back, left and right fronts, two sleeves are knitted flat from the bottom up in seperate pieces and joined together. The sleeves are set in. The neck and buttonbands edge are picked up.

TECHNIQUES USED
Cast on, knit, purl, decreasing at armhole and neck shaping, increasing on the sleeves, cast off. Sewing on buttons. Joining seams. Optional but recommended to create the feeling of joy when joining your pieces: mattress stitch and three needle cast off.

YARN
8(9:9:10:10) 50g hanks of Sulka.

SUGGESTED KNITTING NEEDLES
5.5mm and 6mm.

NOTIONS
6(6:6:6:7) buttons.

GAUGE (tension)
14 stitches and 21 rows to 10cm/4ins square over pattern. I obtained this gauge with 6mm needles.
It is important to obtain the correct gauge so do work a swatch before you start the pattern and change your needle size to achieve the correct gauge if you need to.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
I recommend a positive ease of 1-4ins/2.5-10cm at the chest.
