A BOLD Look in an intriguing shape~

The “Sulka” shawl is knitted from the top down. It first grows evenly on both sides, then it shifts and only one side extends moving forward from there. A spirited lace border accent finishes the shawl off again to just one side.

Knitted with two yarns, one is our specially arranged Lightly skein, a hand wound combination of 7 great color and texture changes and one of our Taut skeins for the lace border.

The pattern is fully written and also offers a lace chart. The blocked shawl measures 61” in overall length with a 19” in height.

Notions needed
US size 6 (4 mm) circular needle 36” (91 cm)
in length.
15 Stitch markers, optional.
Tapestry needle for finishing.

Gauge
15 sts and 27 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch.

Techniques applied
Knitting, purling, increasing, color changes, eyelets, lace knitting, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends and blocking for best results.
