This summer, baby needs a cool, organic cotton hat with flower on it!

Skills needed for this written pattern are: long tail cast on, binding off, knitting, decreasing and a basic familiarity with working color stripes. Included are instructions on how to make the flower.

Yarn: Blue Sky Fibers Skinny Organic Cotton Yarn (150 yds/137 m, 65 g) 1 skein each in colors 318 (Blackberry) and 030 (Birch).

You can also see, in the third picture from the top, hats made from Blue Sky Fibers Skinny Organic Yarn in the colors 320 Peony, 303 Sprout, and 321 Island Blue.

Gauge: 22 sts = 4” (10cm) in stockinette.
Row Gauge: 18 rnds= 2”. Note: it’s always a good idea to knit the gauge swatch in the round and block it.

Needles: U.S. 4 (3.5 mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle; U.S. size 4 (3.5 mm) set of 4 double-pointed needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
