This oversized Brioche Cardigan, worked in a cotton blend, is the perfect softness you want on your skin on a breezy day at the beach or a cool summer night out.

It is a project for the advanced knitter worked from the top down. Starting at the center back you first work the collar separately. Then you pick up and cast on stitches for the back. Short rows are worked to accommodate shoulder shaping. Next you work the back for the required length of armhole, put stitches on waste yarn and work the same idea for both front pieces until matching length of armhole is reached. Then you connect the back and front pieces and work the body to desired length. The neck/button-hole band is simultaneously worked in ribbing with smaller needles while the body is being worked in Brioche on bigger needles.
Stitches are picked up around the armhole for the sleeves. They can be adjusted to the desired length. Just make sure you have enough yarn to accommodate any changes you decide to make.

The final measurement of the bust circumference is
XS/S = 40”
M/L = 45”
XL/ XXL = 52”

The length measured at the center back without the neck-band is
XS/S = 20”
M/L = 22”
XL/XXL = 24”
