Summer Bunting by Frankie Brown

Summer Bunting

This pattern is available as a free Ravelry download

This is one of several bunting patterns I have written, each marking a different season or occasion. Bright pastels are used this time to celebrate Summer.

Six striped flags spell out the word ‘Summer’ with the letters being knitted separately, sewn round pipe cleaners and then added to the flags.

Then there are six different Summer motifs to knit which can be sewn to plain bunting flags. Five of them hang below the letters and the remaining one can be hung on its own from a short length of dowel.

To hang the bunting as I have you will need two lengths of dowel. Instructions on linking them together are in the pattern.

You could just knit a few of the flags or perhaps use some of the knitted motifs to decorate other knitted things.

All my ravelry patterns are free to download but, if you enjoy them, please consider making a donation to the British Liver Trust where the money will go to fund research and support the families of children with a liver disease. You can do this easily by going to my fundraising page here

Happy Knitting!
