This fun and flirty scarf features a simple lace flower motif connected by rows of purls. It is the first of many joint ventures between Palouse Yarn Company and independent designers.

Summer Fling makes the most of the luminous sheen and rich color of Palouse Yarn Company’s Merino Fine in Tropicana. The combination of lace and purl rows keeps things interesting for both intermediate and advanced knitters. The result is a pretty scarf you’ll want to wear year round.

Gauge is not important, just pair yarn with needles that will give a drapy fabric.

This is the perfect use for that single skein of tonal or solid yarn that you have been saving-- the scarf’s length is easily changed by adding or subtracting lace repeats.
