I love those photos in lifestyle magazines of perfectly set tables: the place settings, the flowers, the candles, and of course, the placemats. In these placemats and trivets, mitered squares alternate gradient yarn with tweed yarn to give each piece its own personality. To me, Noro colors Awara and Sumoto epitomize outdoor dining in late summer: ripe tomatoes, golden grasses, and shade under ancient gnarled oaks.
