“Summer is Coming” is a Pi Shawl inspired by Elizabeth Zimmermann’s original Pi Shawl.

Elizabeth Zimmermann writes that the Pi Shawl is one of the easiest shawls to knit.
It is important to choose the right yarn and needles, which will be much larger than those recommended on the ball band.
Using the Pythagorean Theorem as a starting point, Elizabeth Zimmermann write a beautiful “recipe” for making a circular shawl, translating the mathematical formula 2 pi(r) to obtain a perfect circle based on the proportion of the number of stitches to the number of rows.
