Summer Lace Socks — Inspired by breezy summer days, these shortie/ankle socks feature a beautiful allover eyelet lace pattern that is easy and fun to knit! Using minimal yarn, this can be a nice project for using up smaller bits from stash. Socks can also be knit with longer leg in the decorative eyelet pattern. If knitting longer socks, allow for more yarn.

Knit cuff down in Magic Loop method with heel flap and gusset, this pattern features an easy to memorize stitch pattern worked down the leg/ankle and foot of the socks. Twisted Rib for the cuff and Wedge Toe instructions are given in the pattern. But feel free to use your favorite toe or heel constructions. This pattern will be enjoyable for knitters of all experience levels. Easily adaptable to knitting with DPNS. I have knit the model shortie socks in a soft wool, and the longer socks were knit using a lusciously soft alpaca-wool blend. Use any 4 ply/fingering weight sock yarn. Decorative stitch pattern is most attractive when using solid color, semi-solid/tonal or gently speckled yarns.
