With its palette of ochre, heather-purple and various shades of green, this stylish top is reminiscent of a summer landscape, with meadows or crops giving way to grassy hillsides. It’s a wearable work of art, and yet the finished garment is surprisingly straightforward to achieve.
The magic ingredient here is the yarn. Although named Noro Taiyo Sock Yarn, it’s ideal for a whole range of knitting projects, and the subtle variegations produce glorious results.
This is a really satisfying yarn to knit with, and the uncomplicated stitch choices show it off to its best advantage, while the yarn emphasises the pleasing draping of the neckline – a detail that makes this a really lovely top to wear as well.
