The Summer Memory cardigan is a beautiful and unique piece, designed with gradient yarn cakes in mind. It’s construction is deceptively simple - just a large circle, with sleeves. The center mandala adds a little something special to the garment. The circle expands with different mesh sections, providing a simple yet elegant background to the center motif. However, all mesh sections are reasonably dense, preserving the warmth.

The pattern is written for one size - and one size does fit most! In the featured pictures, the same cardi is worn by a model with a 118cm (46.5”) bust, and a model with a 92cm (36.2”) bust. However, the pattern includes directions on how to adapt the size, on a try-on-as-you-go basis.

Like in most of my patterns, you will have several options: a sleeveless circular vest, or a cardigan with sleeves. If you opt for the latter, you will again have 2 options for sleeves: straight or bell shaped.

This easy to follow pattern (9 pages) provides full written instructions (US standard crochet terms), and includes many pictures illustrating the trickier parts.
