Designer Anita has teamed cloudy grey tones with zesty brights to make this beautiful, light throw, perfect for summer days. Although it looks complicated, it’s worked in simple double and treble crochet stitches. If you’ve never tried delicate picot edging before, then this project is a brilliant place to start. Draped over your sofa or bed, this blanket is guaranteed to bring a splash of colour to your home, come rain or shine. And it won’t take for ever to make, either.

The blanket is crocheted with two strands of yarn held together. Split each ball (except Yarns A and B) into two before beginning, to make this easier.

Make 35 squares in total using any colour combinations for the centres. For every square, rounds 6-8 are made using Yarns A and B.

Yarns required:
Istex Loðband Einband
Yarn A, 4 balls of Light Ash Heather (1027)
Yarn B, 3 balls of Grey Heather (9102)
2 balls of Vivid Green (1764)
1 ball of each Yellow (1765), Citron (9028), Teal (1761), Turquoise (1763), Lime (9268)

Measurements:
Approx 90 × 120cm (35.5 × 47.5 in)
Each square measures approx 16 x 16 cm (6.25 x 6.25 in)
