Summer Rose is a quick knit inspired by hats from the 1950’s. It is a fascinator hat that is attached to the head using a hair clip.

This pattern would also work well for creating a rose decoration for another project (such as a bag or decorative pillow).

In addition to yarn, this project requires a hair clip (plain metal clips can often be found in craft stores) and two faux leaves (the type attached to faux flower stems).

This pattern was written so that it can also be knitted by beginners. The only stitches needed are knit, purl, and knit-two-together.
