This sweet bag combines the durability and structure of raffia with the softness of wool or bamboo. A strand of each yarn is held double while knitting the entire bag flat, in one piece. Use your intentionally long tails to seam up the sides and box the corners, and you’ll be out charming the world with your new bag before you know it!

Gauge is not incredibly important with this bag, but you will use almost all your yarn. If you are a remarkably loose knitter, I recommend either purchasing additional yarn or swatching enough to check your gauge, and then frogging your swatch for the actual bag. The raffia softens up quite a bit, but it will not be harmed and can easily be reknit.
