The Summer Sunset is an easy-to-knit top, made with Bora Bora, a very light cotton and bamboo yarn. It’s a design created specifically to showcase gradient yarns at their best: worked entirely in stockinette stitch from the top down, it’s a completely seamless garment that’s smooth and relaxing to knit.
Also perfect for making during the mid-season using soft, lightweight, brushed yarns.

You start at the neck, working back and forth in rows, increasing at the same time on the shoulders to give width to the front and back, and at the front neckline to shape the V.
Once this is finished, you continue working the front and back separately until reaching the ideal length for the armhole: only at this point is the piece joined in the round to complete the body. The ribbed armhole and neckline borders are worked at the end, by picking up the stitches along the relevant edges.
There are no particular technical difficulties, other than the separate construction of the yoke pie- ces before starting to work in the round, and the lifted increases on the shoulders, which must be worked on every row, both on the right side and the wrong side of the work.

The top shown in the photo is a size M, with a relaxed fit.
