This slouchy, textured knit can be made as a scoop neck t-shirt or striped sweater. It is the perfect piece for transitional weather between seasons. The chunky texture of the yarn and its natural slouch are combined with subtle shaping details to create an effortless drape across the body. With dropped shoulders and a relaxed neckline both variants offer a casual chic style ideal for breezy spring mornings or cool autumn evenings. Whichever version you make, it’s sure to become one of those pieces you reach for time and time again.

Note on Sizing
The fit of the jumper is oversized which means that 20 cm of positive ease have been incorporated into the fit. The Bust Circumference shown is for the finished garment. Measure your bust circumference and add 20 cm to this measurement to determine the size you should knit. If you prefer a less oversized look then consider going down a size.

Notes on Construction
The Summer Waves Sweater is knit seamlessly. First, we knit the shoulders and the upper back panel- from the bottom of the neck to the bottom of the armhole. These stitches are left live and we turn the work to pick up stitches from the slanted edges to create the shoulders and the neck. Once both the shoulders and the neck have been formed, we continue to knit the piece flat until we have achieved the same depth to the armhole on the front as we have on the back. We then join front and back to continue knitting the body in the round. The sleeves are picked up from the body and knit in the round. Finally, we pick up stitches from the neckline to knit the neckband.
