The Summerly scarf is not just a scarf, it’s also a cowl, depending on your needs of the day. With decorative buttons, it’s easy to convert from scarf to cowl.

It grew out of wanting to make the most of two skeins of Rowan Summerspun, a yarn especially suited for summer with 50 % merino and 50 % cotton.

The Summerly scarf and cowl can be made with your DK yarn of choice with good stitch definition. If using worsted yarn, you will need to adjust the needle size accordingly.

Included in the pattern are directions for making a small cowl out of one ball of Rowan Summerspun, or one ball of DK weight yarn.

Pattern has written instructions and is charted.
