SUMMERWOOD TEE is a soft, delightfully airy, and lightweight knitted top featuring a unique and intricate lace pattern, evocative of lush trees and sun-soaked meadows in the peak of summer. The body, knitted from the bottom up, showcases an allover eyelet lace pattern, which can optionally be featured only on the front. Short sleeves, worked separately in stockinette stitch, are then seamlessly joined to the body. The yoke, shaped with raglan decreases, maintains the lace pattern on the body. The decorative raglan seams feature a ribbed pattern, mirroring the one found on the hem and neck, subtly separating the sleeves and body. The neck and shoulders are shaped using German short rows, with the garment finished with a simple 1x1 rib and Italian bind-off. The minimalist details complement the lace patterning, creating a harmonious all-around aesthetic.

Encapsulating the spirit of carefree, sunny, and leisurely summer days, the SUMMERWOOD TEE offers an engaging and enjoyable knitting experience through its easy-to-memorise lace pattern. Whether you find yourself relaxing at the beach or in your garden, knitting the SUMMERWOOD TEE promises to be a tranquil escape, sparking dreams of sun-drenched days and evoking memories of simpler times.

The SUMMERWOOD TEE was designed for SAONA, showcased in the gentlest and softest of greens - the Groen colourway. Saona, the latest addition to the Wooldreamers yarn collection, is a soft and lofty fingering-weight yarn, a sustainably sourced blend of Andalusian cotton and Merino Entrefino and Manchego wool. This blend contributes to the lightness and breathability of the garment, making it perfect for summer wear.

Please note that this is an estimate.

Yarn Substitutes:
Any fingering weight yarn that meets the gauge. I suggest using a yarn of appropriate weight that is either a cotton and merino wool blend or pure merino. These yarn types would give a similar drape and feel to the finished tee, keeping it comfortable and airy for warm weather.

Gauge:
The gauge is 10 cm = 25 sts and 36 rounds on needle size 2.5 mm in stockinette stitch and lace pattern (after blocking). The swatch should be knit in the round.

Needles:
2.25 mm 60-120 cm circular needles and/or DPNs for the ribbing and 2.5 mm 60-120 cm circular needles and/or DPNs for the lace pattern and stockinette stitch.

Knitting Tools and Accessories:
Stitch markers, stitch holders, a darning needle for weaving in the ends, measuring tape, and scissors.
