This crochet pattern is for a girls crochet sun hat with flowers, in the style of a cloche or panama hat.

In my home country of Northern Ireland, there is an elaborate library called Mussenden Temple – an iconic circular building located on a cliff high above the Atlantic Ocean. It is a beautiful, sophisticated building, this little hat reminds me of it, and so I’ve named it ‘The Mussenden’!

The hat is in a cloche or panama style, sized for girls aged 4-8 years (head circumference 20-22 inches). You will need a light weight yarn to complete the project. Within the pattern, I also provide several options to make the flowers and leaves for decoration at the side.

The pattern is suitable for beginners, with a basic crocheting knowledge, and is written in standard US terms. I have included detailed step-by-step instructions, and I also offer free support via email, should you need help with any aspect of the making process.

If you have any questions whatsoever, do feel free to contact me on weeyarnstudio @ gmail.com.

Blessings,
Melanie
