With the same pattern you can make 2 sizes, you just need different hook sizes. The Pattern was written in standard US terminology.

APPROXIMATE SIZE OF THE FINISHED CROCHET BUCKET HAT:
Instructions are the same for sizes Small Adult/Teen (21” to 22” heads) and Large Adult (23” to 24” heads). You’ll need to use a different hook size and meet gauge for each of the two hat sizes.

YARN USED FOR THIS CROCHET BUCKET HAT PATTERN:
Worsted Weight (#4)

Amount of yarn needed for the larger size:
Color 1: Light Color – You’ll need approximately 1.87 oz (53 g), or 99 yds (91 m).
Color 2: Dark color – You’ll need approximately 2.39 oz (68 g), or 126 yds (115 m).

Amount of yarn needed for the smaller size:
Color 1: Dark denim – You’ll need approximately 1.63 oz (46 g), or 115 yds (105 m).
Color 2: Top Stitch – You’ll need approximately 1.36 oz (39 g), or 96 yds (88 m).

MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
4.5 mm (US G+/7) hook for the larger hat or any other hook size needed to meet gauge.
3.75 mm (US F) hook for smaller hat or any other hook size needed to meet gauge.
Scissors
Tapestry needle.
