Originally released to a limited number as a Mystery Knit-along in December 2020, this Guernsey-inspired wrap is coziness personified! The oversized asymmetrical triangle design and double-stranded construction create an accessory that’s easy to snuggle with while reading a good book.

Yarn

You’ll need four (4) 100 g skeins of sock yarn, each at least 400 yds.  Sample shown in Woolberry Fiber Co. Berry Cashmere. 80% SW Merino/10% Cashmere. 400 yds/100 g.  

  • Color 1: Secret Family Recipe (Green tonal)
  • Color 2: Midnight Snack (Grey tonal)
  • Color 3: Holiday Treats (Purple/White variegated)
  • Color 4: Frosting (Red/White
    variegated)

Approximate Yardage

1600 yards total. If your per skein yardage is less than noted, you will need mini skeins or a fifth skein to make up the difference. This wrap uses every bit of yarn.

Needles & Notions

  • US 7/4.5 mm - Circular needle with 40” or longer cord
  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge

20 x 30 in Seed Stitch with yarn held double over 4” x 4”, blocked. Gauge is not important for shawl fit; however, it will impact the yardage or amount of yarn you use.

Shape

This wrap is an elongated, asymmetrical triangle, with a short decrease end.
