#2 light (DK, light worsted, 8ply) 100% cotton or cotton blend yarn with about 15 wraps per inch (WPI)*
You will be working with double strands. You can pick 2 yarn colors that compliment each other or 2 balls of the same color.
You will need:

Col A: Center color, e.g. brown 0.40 ounces /29 yards (11 grams / 26 meters)
Col B: Petal color, e.g. yellow. 0.56 ounces / 40 yards (16 grams / 37 meters)
