Sunflower in a pot
Sunflower in a pot – crochet pattern designed by TangledBaru and firstly published in March 2026
I designed this little sunflower because i wanted a cute companion to put on my work desk. I believe it makes a perfect gift for anybody who just loves sunflowers or needs a little sunshine in their life ♥
Difficulty level: beginner
Sewing level: Low-sew (only to connect the blossom with the stem)
Written crochet pattern (available in PDF) includes:
- Step-by-step written instructions
- Photographs of all important steps and individual parts
- Photographs of the finished item
- Tester appreciation photos
List of materials:
- Yarn in yellow, brown, green and beige (my colour suggestions)
- Crochet hook in suitable size
- Fiber stuffing
- Yarn needle
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
- Safety eyes, black and white yarn for details
- OPTIONAL: weighing material to keep the planter more stable (i.e. poly pellets, glass beads, pebbles etc.)
- OPTIONAL: reinforcement for the stem (i.e. wire or wooden skewer)
Size: I used the YarnArt-Jeans yarn (cotton+acrylic blend) with 2.5mm crochet hook and the finished sunflower is about 15 cm tall
