This shawl is designed for the advanced beginner, someone who knows a bit about knit and purl stitches, however working with fingering weight yarn and smaller needles makes it a bigger project.

The shawl is worked top down and flat, beginning with a garter tab cast on. Instructions are included within the pattern on how to do this.

For your gauge swatch, be sure to work flat in seed stitch and block. Meeting gauge is not entirely crucial, however it will affect yardage and the final size of your shawl.

Final Measurements:
Width: 90” (228 cm)
Depth: 18” (46 cm)

Needles:
US size 5 (3.75mm) - you’ll want to use at least a 32” - 40” cord length.

Yarn:
800-850 yards of fingering weight yarn.
