This is a project for adventuresome knitters who enjoy modular knitting. I always wondered about knitting a quilt block. This is the result of that experimentation.

There are 64 blocks that make up the garter stitch quilt block which is the back of the shrug. The garter stitch ridges add to the overall textured effect of the flower. The quilt block is worked modularly and then the body is attached to the quilt block as it is knit. The body is worked in stockinette stitch and 1X1 ribbing. Small 6” seams are worked to form arm holes.

Sizes: XS, S/M, L/XLg
Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm), 32”circular needle
Gauge is in stockinette stitch and is 22 sts/4”

Rauma Finullgarn PT is used throughout.
There are 5 shades of yellow. The color numbers are
412 Yellow, 450 Deep Yellow, 4075 Goldenrod, 4076 Golden, 4405 Bright Yellow (Small amounts are needed in each shade of yellow, under 1/2 skein if you use the same color order).
464 Dark Brown Heather is the center of the flower (1 skein)
4130 Olive Green Heather for the Main Color 3 skeins for small, 4 skeins for larger sizes
