Sunflowers Tapestry Cardigan
SUNFLOWERS CARDIGAN PATTERN DETAILS
This is an ADVANCED pattern with grids and written instructions both.
Historically I have not been the best at sizing garments up and down but have found that using the same pattern with a different hook size works well for me. Since this is an advanced pattern, I trust you know how to make a cardigan.
-
This pattern is made to be a little oversized and cozy
-
Sizes are created using 3.5mm hook (small), 4mm hook (medium), 4.5mm hook (large), and 5mm hook (Extra Large).
-
Back tapestry and front panels are made using Single Crochets and the sleeves are made using Half Doubles.
-
This is an advanced pattern that uses 24 different colors, some are spliced so you will have to cut 2 lengths of different yarn, divide into two strands, combine colors, and crochet with this new spliced color to get the exact shade. If you can find a color that is the exact shade without splicing, please do so, but that is how I did this pattern. This pattern works best if you have medium tension for the body and a tighter tension for the tapestry, just to keep things all together.
-
3 different grids will be provided in the PDF: one that is plain with just the image, another that is numbered to “crochet by number” in some places, and the last is numbered with color swatches on the side.
-
Hex Codes for all colors used are provided in the pattern
-
I suggest using a computer or tablet to view the pattern on so you can zoom in, save it, and mark down which stitches and rows you have completed.
