The Sunnydale Cowl is a practical accessory for chilly, late-night graveyard strolls, when your hands might be otherwise occupied with stakes and crossbows. Originally designed for the Yarnover Truck Yarn Club’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”-themed shipment, the cowl features dropped stitches that show off the gorgeous variegated colorway from Apple Tree Knits. A subtle “fanged” motif reminds you to keep your jugular protected at all times!

This pattern contains both fully charted and written instructions.

Recommended Yarn:
Apple Tree Knits Socklove Fingering — 80% superwash Bluefaced Leicester / 20% nylon — 408 yds (373 m) to 113 g. Shown in exclusive club colorway Buffy.

Sizing:
27” (69 cm) around and 18.5” (47 cm) high. Width can be easily adjusted by adding sts in increments of 7. Sample includes 24 Main Body Repeats with a total weight of 100 g.

Gauge:
21 sts and 32 rows in 4” (10 cm) in drop-stitch pattern, knit in the round and blocked.

PLEASE NOTE: Changes in gauge will affect finished size, look of motifs, and amount of yarn used. To meet these dimensions, be sure to use needle size that gives gauge.

Needles:
US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, 16”.

Other Materials:
One stitch marker, tapestry needle.
