These handknit mittens are the perfect blend of
sustainable crafting and cozy, classic style. Using a
playful checkerboard pattern, these mittens are
designed to help use up leftover scraps of yarn.
The geometric knit provides a double layer of warmth
as the stranded knitting technique creates a thicker
warmer fabric. A variety of sizes are available with
each pair featuring a snug, ribbed cuff and a shaped
thumb gusset for a flexible fit.

Sizes: S (M) L (XL) which corresponds to toddler (child) adult small (adult large)

Measurements:
Width: 2.75 (3.5) 3.5 (4.25)” 7 (9) 9 (11)cm measured at the widest point of the body flat
Length: 7 (8.25) 9.75 (10.5)” 18 (21) 25 (27)cm from cast on edge to the top of the mitten unfolded

Gauge: 17 sts x 17 rounds = 4 x 4” 10 x 10cm measured over stranded colorwork pattern worked in the round on US 9, 5.5mm needles blocked. Work in stockinette stitch until gauge swatch measures at least 4 x 4” 10 x 10cm.

Cuff Ribbing 22 sts x 26 sts = 4 x 4” 10 x 10cm in k1, p1 ribbing on US 6, 4mm needles

Needle Size: US 9, 5.5mm DPNs or circular needles using the magic loop method for the body, thumb and top of mitten shaping
US 6, 4mm DPNs for the cuff
