I created my original cowl pattern (the human version) as a way to use up scraps of yarn leftover from making hats. I just had to create a cute pet cowl to coordinate! I teamed up with my friends at Bright & Pip to bring you the pet version.

This pattern is worked in the round, from the bottom up. I recommend starting with the lightest color (color A), medium color in the middle (color B), and darkest (color C) at the top to create an ombre effect.

When doing colorwork, ensure that your contrasting color is not knit too tightly. I have video tutorial if you need help. I find that gently stretching your work as you go helps, as well as steam blocking the finished product.

Please note: Never leave your pet unattended while wearing any accessories or clothing.
