Named for the beautiful sunsets in Arizona. Specifically Sunset Canyon in the Phoenix area.

Sunset Canyon is a sleeveless top, knit top-down. Fingering weight yarn is held double throughout, changing to different color strands to give the top a gradient effect.
Back stitches are cast on, and the back is worked through armhole shaping. A lace panel is knit across the back top.
Shoulder stitches are then picked up and the front shoulders are knit separately, then joined. A lace insert is added center front.
Front and back are joined and the piece is knit in the round. A lace panel is knit down both sides, ending with a lace border and i-cord bind-off.

Stitches are picked up around the neckline and armholes and then bound off using i-cord bind-off

2 skeins of color 1 are required, and most sizes will only need 1 skein of the 2nd color. Please note if using only 1 skein of 2nd color, you will need to knit from both ends of the yarn (yarn is held double)

Please note sizes 40 and 42 have NOT been tested. I would recommend purchasing a 2nd skein of C2.

This would be equally cute knit in a single strand of DK weight yarn

A special thank you to Taiga Hilliard for the spectacular photos, and to my fabulous test knitters.
