This is a “glorified swatch”-type beginner pattern in the tradition of Purl Soho’s free patterns. Directions are for a cowl roughly 16” high and 30” around, but you can start with any width you’d like that’s a multiple of 12 stitches, and keep going for as long as you’d like. It makes a lovely scarf with the ends unjoined. You’ll need a minimum of 600 yards to make a cowl that loops comfortably once around your neck.
