My favorite thing about living in the Pacific Northwest is the constantly changing scenery. There are so many layers and textures, islands and forests and jagged rocks and sandy beaches and farmland. A drive up the Sunshine Coast is a scenic and visual feast for the eyes, but no matter the time of year, is often chilly and breezy, making a little scarf like this the perfect accessory. I hope that no matter where your travels take you, this scarf keeps you warm and cozy.

This scarf takes its shape from short rows, followed by increases along the sides of the piece. The result is a long, curved scarf that’s wearable in a variety of ways.

The yarn suggested is a very dense and squishy heavy DK weight, and the pattern is knit at a close gauge, resulting in a warm garment. However, adjusting the needle size or using a lighter DK weight yarn would give a larger and more airy garment.

The pattern includes links to technique tutorials for the more complicated stitches.
