The Sunshine Dream Socks are the first (July) installment of the 2025 Ancient Arts Summer Sock Club! The club runs from July to September, and for each month of the club we’ll release a brand-new sock design on the 15th of the month on the KAL start date!

Pattern only and pattern/kit pre-orders will open three weeks prior to the 15th of each month, and the full pattern will be sent out/available on the 15th of July.

Included in your kit or pattern purchase is a Zoom meeting for your sock design where we will provide lots of tips and tricks for knitting each sock – essentially, it’s a free class – so stay tuned for those as well!

30 sts x 42 rnds = 10 cm / 4” in stocking stitch, blocked.

Materials
Yarn: Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts Socknado-80% SW Merino/20% Nylon, 100g/3.5oz, 350m/385yd, 1 skein

Yardage: 1 (1, 1) skein.

Sample shown in Lookin’ Fine in My New Blue Jeans 5 colourway and knit in 60 sts size, with 14 cm / 5.5” leg length and 23 cm / 9” long foot.

Yardage Estimate: Approx 266 (280, 322) m / 293 (308, 354) yds.

Needle Size: 2.25 mm / US 1, 80 cm / 32” circular needles or set of DPNs, or size needed to achieve gauge.

Notions: 5 Stitch markers (including one unique), row counter, tape measure, tapestry needle, scissors and (optional) blocking tools.

Knit in the round from cuff down with a heel flap and tapered toe. The lace design runs down the front of the sock from cuff to toe and a triple cable design runs down the back of leg. Instructions are written and charted.
