Inspired by the sunny yellow yarn, these socks use a lace pattern of mirrored diamonds, which continues around the back of the leg. The lace pattern reminds me of a vertical stack of paper dolls with hands on hips, lining up waiting for the sunshine. The socks are worked from the cuff down with a heel flap and gusset.

Three sizes are available, Small (to fit 7 ½”/19cm foot circumference), Medium (to fit 8 ½”/21.5cm foot circumference) and Large (to fit 9 ½”/24cm foot circumference), when worked to pattern tension of 8 stitches to 1 inch/2.5cm over stocking stitch.

You will need:
Up to 400 yards (360m) fingering weight sock yarn
2.25mm (US1) knitting needles for working in the round, or size needed to achieve pattern tension
2 stitch markers (optional)
Darning needle

You need to be able to: work in the round, work increases and decreases (YO, SSK, K2tog, P2tog, centred double decrease), work lace from a chart (the lace pattern is charted only), graft using Kitchener stitch
