After my original aran weight Herringbone stitch hat pattern, I adapted the pattern to create this Super Chunky Version using Wool and the Gang’s ‘Crazy Sexy Wool’. This hat is perfect to keep you cosy and warm all Winter. It is a great unisex design that only uses 1 ball, and all the leftovers can go into making the pom pom!

You will need

1 ball of Wool and the Gang’s Crazy Sexy Wool (200g)
1 pair of 15mm knitting needles
1 pair of 25mm knitting needles
1 large-eyed sewing needle

Size
One size - 19cm width x 26cm length

Tension

1x1 Rib Stitch on 15mm needles
7 stitches x 10 rows to a 10cm square

Herringbone stitch on 8mm needles
7 stitches x 5 rows to a 10cm square
