This potholder is made from 100 percent cotton. I chose this yarn because it is machine washable and it handles heat well.

The large size of the potholder makes it usable by both men and women.

I used Lion Brand Cotton in a cone because I get the yarn on sale and it is very affordable that way. The colorway is Basil, which is a green, variegated yarn. There are multiple shades of green and blue green mixed in with a small amount of white.

The white border around the potholder makes the colors pop. The border is done in single, half-double and double crochet.

A single cone of Basil will produce multiple potholders. Instructions are in U.S.A. terms. The white cotton is purchased in skeins. You will get multiple potholders from a single skein.

The pattern contains instructions on how to do the Tunisian Simple Stitch. There are links to picture tutorials if you need additional help.
