I created this shawl when I was a beginner and couldn’t find any simple shawls. I was a knitter just beginning to learn crochet. In knitting, there where multiple shapes of shawls that you can just knit, no mumbo jumbo fancy edging or eyelets or anything like that. Just simple knitting and increasing and that was it!

When I started crocheting, I looked for the same thing and couldn’t find anything. So I took a LOT of time and created this super simple shawl shape. I’m hoping that maybe in the future, I can figure out all the other shapes, like crescent, half-circle, 3/4s and all that. But for now, here’s the triangle version!

This pattern has a video for the DC/TC options, since there is a slight tweak to the original I had to do to make the edging smoother.
