The Supreme Court Tam was inspired by the stained glass window in the ceiling of the Supreme Court room in the handsome Harrisburg PA State Capitol building. The striking green and yellow design is set off by the lines of black. Sizing options are discussed in the article “Tips for Knitting my hats” found on our website www.mrsknitterdesigns.com.
Pattern requires an ounce or less of black and shades of green and yellow.
The kit for this hat contains Black, White, two shades of Gold, two shades of Yellow, and two shades of Dark Green. A variation for the design would be to substitute the X&O chart for the Gold Bands chart after the ribbing, then do the Hearts and X&O’s again, as designed. This might not work if you bought the kit, but if you’ve bought 50 gram skeins of each color, there should be plenty to do this.
