This pattern is a sister pattern to the Susquehanna Sunset pattern but in a different gauge and with modifications to accommodate finished size. Like it’s sister, the pattern employs beginner friendly color work and lacework to develop a pretty, fluid fabric that works up easily, even in the company of chatty friends and family. Using Dk (ish) weight yarn and size 7 needles, the lacework pops and poncho progresses at a satisfying pace. Do not fret about the specifics of gauge as the bias drape is most forgiving.

While the pattern is written as “one size fits most”, adjustments are easily made by adding blocks and/or stitches for another lace repeat. Finished dimensions as written are 56” in circumference and 26” in depth, but the garment will hang on the bias, making the depth appear longer and the circumference stretchy!

This project is suitable for the adventurous beginner.
