Errata: Row 14 of the Border Section should read: kfb (yo, P2tog) to marker, sm, P1, sm, (P2tog, yo) to last st, kfb

The starkness of bare branches against a cold grey sky. The oranges, yellows, and reds, almost too vibrant to be real, of fall leaves scattered across a marbled dark rock. The vivid, alive greens and browns of a forest after the rain. The aqua and white of foam-tipped waves. Colours demanding to be admired, noticed, copied.

Sutton Shawl is a triangle shawl, knit from the top down in garter stitch, alternating with eyelet sections. It is the perfect canvas for colour exploration – Sutton can be knit in two, three, or five colours, in solid or semi-solid yarns, or in variegated yarns combined with semi-solids. Knit it in fingering weight for a drapey, light shawl, or in DK for a snuggly, warm option.

Instructions are written only in abbreviated form.

Required skills: knit, purl, increases (kfb, m1r, m1l, yo) and decreases (k2tog, p2tog).
