The stitch is called “Suzette Stitch” and it is so easy to do but an eye catcher. It is just a combination of single crochet and double crochet.

I used only 1 skein of yarn including the pompom. But if you want your hat to be more slouchy you can do so. The Pattern is a repeat all the way up so there is no limit on how slouchy you want for your beanie.
